THE IMPACT OF AN NGO ON TRIBE DEVELOPMENT: CASE STUDY ON WESTERN BENGAL, SHANTINIKETAN

Even though the NGO sector has become more and more professionalized over the last two decades, principles of altruism and voluntarism remain key defining characteristics. " These types of voluntary organizations strives to make a difference through their progressive and fully commited work in marketing the development of the country. Task-oriented and driven simply by people with a common interest, NGOs perform a selection of service and humanitarian capabilities, bring citizen concerns to Governments, supporter and monitor policies and encourage personal participation through provision details. Some are structured around particular issues, such as human legal rights, environment or health. While many of the NGOs work at the grassroot level with the communities, some give analysis and expertise, function as early alert mechanisms and help monitor and implement international agreements. There are plenty of typical forms of NGOs. Most notable there are social networking organizations which will provide essential network options in a particular field.
