The Paradox of Our Time

Based on the Random House College Book, a paradox is defined as 1) a

statement or perhaps proposition seemingly self-contradictory or absurd, in reality revealing

a possible truth; 2) any person, issue, or condition exhibiting an apparently contradictory

characteristics. Writer Rosalie Colie in " Paradoxia Epidemica" states: " The one element

systems. The paradox is often somehow linked to challenging a lot of orthodoxy.

The paradox is oblique criticism of absolute judgment or total convention. "

now living on their own. We frequently discuss purchasing a larger house; our dream home today

we don't have the cost of caring for our sons. (They chose not to head to college

but proceeded to go straight into air Force and so since we all didn't need to pay for their school, we

purchased their very own cars to get them). We still make them out from time to time but the greatest

price of tending to them was lifted when they left. Your house we are in now is quite

sufficient for the needs. With of us working full time and attending school full

time, not of us have too much spare time to enjoy our house anyway. And, with all

the convenience technology has given us, I actually still find myself thinking where performed the day

go and what did I attain today?

One more favorite of mine can be: " We spend also recklessly,...
