Jungian's Meaning of June's Dream

Abstract

The treatment plan for 06 using the Jungian Theory depending on dream presentation and examining two of the important relationships in June's existence: June and her child and June and her mother. Making use of the Jungian Theory can help bring June's unconscious thoughts in to consciousness and will help her achieve individuation and fully understand the actual cause of her dreams.

Standard Concepts

Becoming more concerned regarding understanding the unconscious than the development of personality, Carl Jung divided life in four basic stages: years as a child, youth and young adulthood, middle age, and old age (Sharf 2008, p. 94). Although Jung studied all the stages extensively, his many interest was at that of the center age level (p. 94). Jung assumed that the Archetypes were the inherited proneness for certain thoughts and concepts (p. 88).

Jung also divided the psyche into three different levels of consciousness: the conscious level, the personal unconscious, and the group unconscious (p. 87-88). The conscious level is the procedure for individuation plus the ego. Also, it is the level we could aware of. The individual unconscious level involves the memories which have been suppressed for some reason, but can be easily brought to conscious. The collective subconscious is the knowledge that everyone is born with this kind of, but are not directly aware of that. Assessment

I think that Summer probably offers two distinct reasoning's that could come from this kind of dream. 06 has mentioned that she actually is depressed and stressed/overworked from the responsibilities via work and raising her daughter. The girl worries that she is not going to be a good enough mother on her behalf daughter. During her years as a child, her mother seemed to be a pretty strict parent. She went to church, was obviously a choir member and only did church hems. She assumed that her children should do the same and...
